People have been living in this rich cultivated landscape since the Stone Age. During the Viking Period, Borgeby and Lomma were hugely important for trade and culture as harbours for Lund and Uppåkra. Lomma was first mentioned in writing as early as 1085 as one of Skåne’s three towns.
